We have started evacuating hospital patients to Austin and San Antonio 2 hours ago.
I am evacuating.
Leaving a lot of things behind. just packing a small bag with me.
I hope there will still be a Galveston to come home to after the weekend.
God help us all.

Yes, I am definitely with you on this. I left Galveston with a heavy heart last night... Galveston is not "home" by any means, but UTMB is.
I wish you well, and I hope you find a safe haven from this storm.
